Volker Janssen, PH. D.

Dr. Volker Janssen is Partner of SIMON - KUCHER & PARTNERS Strategy & Marketing Consultants. He has been with the company since 1999 and is currently based in SKP”s USA office in Boston.

Dr. Janssen specializes in consulting to clients from the life science industry, mainly in the areas of strategic marketing, corporate communications, sales force management, market segmentation, international pricing and value to customer. He has supported a number of companies in Europe, Japan and in the USA, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi-Aventis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Fujisawa, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Shire, Wyeth.

Dr. Janssen studied business administration at the University of Aachen (RWTH) and received his MBA in 1995. From 1995 to 1999, he was an assistant to Professor Manfred Bruhn and worked at the chair of marketing and distribution management of the European Business School (EBS) in Germany as well as at the chair of marketing and business administration of the University of Basel in Switzerland. In 1999 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Basel.

Dr. Janssen is author of numerous publications on pricing, sales force management and communication. He has spoken frequently on conferences and seminars on these subjects.
